A new twist on the original Jack and the Bean Stalk story, this movie is about a man haunted by his family's history of not living past the age of 30 years old. The man travels to another world with a mysterious woman to learn about his ancestor, the original Jack, and to right the wrongs of the past. The film was produced by Hallmark Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company for CBS Television.

Jim Henson's Creature Shop brought the land of Jack and the Bean Stalk to life with the Henson Digital Performance Studio. Five actors were physically enhanced with prosthetics and elaborate costumes, and the JHCS created the goose who laid the golden eggs and the beanstalk itself with animatronics.
